I like it. Nice looks- muscular, yet just a bit more subtle than my GTS. This gets me all excited!

I like the current viper because of its styling. Performance can be added to any car. Style is harder to add.

If you saw that car in a parking lot, you would look, but not stare. IMHO, of course.

Also, lol!

I don't quite understand your response. I included the same level of ignorance in my response to your's about the car. Yes the design changes in the car aren't as **** but are as equally appealing in my opinion and are different. After all it is a ALL NEW viper. A change is great. I'm sure people said the same stuff about when the vette changed from a c2 to a c3, I love the split window 63's but a 69 stinger is just a **** in a different sort of way.

Thanks for posting.

I Just love that car - can't wait to be called forward for mine. Though I realize I am on the waiting list (been there for 2 years), and I humbly stand down for first year's certificate holders (after all you already supported Dodge with you Viper purchase way before me.

Dodge if you are listening, please make a yellow as a color choice for the 2004 model.

Thanks for the multiple photos!

Observation :

That stupid, infernal, hokey, reverse slash air extractor is the #1 styling miscue on the car, closely followed by the rip-off GM F-body hood scoop. Probably why Tom Gale left...

Gary- Thanks for posting the photo's.

JusSumFastGi- I do not care for the car either. Maybe it looks better in person? Maybe it will make up for it in performance?

Looks a lot like a Mustang? Just what we need an 8.0 liter Mustang.

Good luck guys. I seem to have wandered into the wrong group. SORRY

Wow, I think they look a lot better outside in real light than inside a room under soft lights...I truely wasn't ever a big fan of the Gen III, but wow, seeing them outside gets me all excited!! Never going to beat the Gen I/II, but wow, all I can say is I'm impressed for the first time since I saw the first pictures of the car...One more thing; exactly where did you see not one, not two, BUT THREE SRT's in a parking lot??? You lucky, lucky guy! Also, one more thing, I think the front view of the car is NOT one of it's strong suits, unlike the previous car which made you weak-kneed... Thanks again

Sheyster,
They'll sell every one they make the first year because it has 500+ bhp. That in itself makes it an impressive car. What is the last car produced in America that came with >500 hp stock from the factory? ZL-1 Corvette (of which there are a grand total of 2)?

Richard,
What have you heard about changes to the color selection? I thought what I am seeing regarding the wave of support for black is that that "may or may not" affect the choice for '04, but that the color poll and posts here in no way affect the red-silver-graphite selection for '03. Has something officially changed?

You know, now that I see these pics, I think red looks the best. The silver just does now show any lines on the car and makes it look like a Chronos or something - very very bland. The graphite is Ok, but not great. Red actually looks real nice on this car - makes it look shorter and it stands out.

What would REALLY look nice is Yellow though! Red isn't a bright enough color for those of us that want to stand out

This is why Dodge should post REAL pics of these cars - I don't want to be stuck deciding on a color without seeing the car in various colors under real-world lighting, etc.

Richard,

Settle down - Dodge hasn't said ANYTHING about Graphite being dropped... where did you get that from? They MAY add black and yellow has been a "maybe" since day 1.

Big thanks on the pic's, these are the most helpful I've seen in getting a feel for how the car really looks. Can't say they've pushed me one way or the other, but I'll keep looking at them & pondering. These pic's make me lean towards red or charcoal at this point, I too think the silver shows too much seam and cuts the car up a bit.

Dave.

The "cup-holder" question is an easy answer, no. That is the ash-tray, and on the inside of it is has normal ash-tray attachments that would not allow a round object to go in.

GTS DEAN, the SRT10 WAS done under TOM GALE. He was in Detroit Tuesday at the unveiling, and it quite the fan of the SRT10. BTW, he still does work there, just in a diminished capacity.

Honestly, about the cupholder issue, give it a break already, like you've never had a can of pepsi or something in the car and it was tough to hold the can in you're crotch, a place to put it would be great(and it isn't really a real cupholder), as a passenger usually I really don't like holding onto 2 drinks at a time, plus no more cold nuts! Honestly, is a cupholder that much of a "softening of the car",? I think not, I'd rather have a cupholder weighing a couple ounces then spilled pop (or soda)all over the place.

Also, anyone notice those door handles are practically right off a C3 vette?
