Put my stock ACR on the dyno today, 1350 miles, put down 546 rwhp and 510 rwtq on a DynoJet 248.... video and dyno graph here:

Stock 2008 Dodge Viper ACR Dyno Sheet Details - DragTimes.com

he started the runs too high, but I don't think starting at 2k RPM's would have made a difference

Anyone else have a bouncy tach? towards top of the RPM range the tachometer bounces around, very annoying, hard to tell exactly where you are in the RPM range when it does it. It does this on the street as well, take a look at the latter half of the video, I put the camera on the tach, and you can see what I mean...

I couldn't see what you meant by a "bouncy" tach. Could it be you are simply hitting the 6400 rpm rev limiter and seeing the cut back to 6200 rpm and so on?

I saw what you meant about the tach being bouncy. Looked to happed about 5400 or so. What does the car/acceleration feel like when this happens?

Nice...F.Y.I. my 2006 Coupe's tach was bouncy from about 3K on up. I just never wanted to take it in and get it looked at bad enough I guess. I wonder if the new Mopar ECM having a more sensitive signal for the tach is to help solve that problem. :dunno:

My ACR w/ 3.55 rear end only dyno'd at 500 WHP at DC the other week, and I wonder how much less the car would show w/ 3.55 vs. the OEM 3.07 gear?

Bruce, I wrote the guys at dynojet and this is what they said about gears.....

Hello,

Would different gear ratio's on the same car effect the RWTQ and RWHP readings?

Thank you,

"Yes they can. Gears can affect the final drive out put. It may use more hp to accelerate the car than what did before. "
