I am hearing rumours that 2010 will be the last year of production for vipers ? any truth or just rumours?

Truth.
Short run of 500 Vipers for 10 then no production for several years.
Plan is to produce a enhanced gen V after 2013 if a business plan can be made.
Get em while you can.

I did a Google search, and after going through all the articles, I came to the conclusion that Viper is dead in 2010 and will never come back, except that it might come back as a Gen V in 2012, but in 2012 supposedly aliens or a massive meteor might come from outer space and end civilization as we know it. So, at that point, Chrysler might change it's plans on introducing the Gen V because the market dynamics could have changed enough that they'll need to be focusing on other aspects of their business model.

Sorry to hear that they are ending. I think the Viper is the last great American Hi-po factory classic. I am glad I finally was able to buy one.
