Yep. Gotta have one..:drive:
I saw this and immediately thought about the AC cobra and VM01. I thought what would a 2013 version of those cars be?

In fact a Corvette motor is totally correct, as the original used Corvette or Jaguar motors in period.

ENGINE OPTIONS

• GM LS6 V8: Aluminum fuel injected 350 ci, 5.7 liter 400 bhp
• GM LS3 V8: Aluminum fuel injected 385 ci, 6.3 liter 550 bhp
• GM LS7 V8: Aluminum fuel injected 427 ci, 7.0 liter 630 bhp
• GM ZZ4: carbureted 350 ci, 5.7 liter 375 bhp

The power to push the elegant LC470 to its maximum is very much the driver's preference.

The LC470 can take a range of GM engines and we are happy to discuss the options in detail with prospective customers.

As an example, fitted with the 400hp LS6 and running a 2.87 1st gear through a 3.07 final drive, the LC470 reaches 60 mph in 3.4 secs without the need to shift. And turns in a top speed of 190 mph!

Fitted with a 600hp Chevrolet Small Block motor and a 3.07 ratio final drive, the LC470 pulls a standing ¼ mile in 9.1 secs and 149 mph across the line.

For a little extra, the LC470 can be fitted with an 800hp race-ready power train.

I agree Sybil.....and I am a car guy and I respect your opinion.....HAPPY VIPERING.....
:2tu: I second that. The color combo wouldn't be my first choice. :crazy2: :nono: Like the car, but many, many people taking the chevy Ls7 engine & putting it in a chassis & homemade body & calling it the fastest thing on the planet. :burnout: (Henn#@%$ has one). All it takes is Big Bucks. :cash: A new Breed of Kit Cars. Wouldn't take two for one Viper

Wow... The motor is entirely behind the rear of the front wheels...

I can't recall any mid front engine car with the motor so far back... That's wild!

It seems that with the motor so far back, it would be scary to drive at 200 mph range because it could go airborne and really be a unsafe feeling, and why do they call it cobra-viper???? If it had the Viper V-10 motor, it would make sense to me but as it is, too me, makes no sense to even compare to a Viper. Just my 2 cents......

Fuel fill 10 inches from the back of your neck. Probably should move that.

Also, I am not a fan of the styling.

Yes, I am a car guy, don't even think about calling me otherwise. :smirk:

That crossed my mind too but the engine in a typical rear mid engine is even further back.

They don't. It's a Lucra LC470 like the video mentions.

I titled this thread to bring some attention to it, and when I first saw it I thought it reminded me of the cobra and VM01.

The Viper concept came from the idea of a modern day bare bones open roadster that hauls ass. Makes every bit of sense to compare it to a Viper in my head. Why would the car go airborne?

The whole car weighs 2000lbs and it just looks to me like there is not much weight on the front end and when the wind at high speeds gets under that front piece it looks like it would start to raise up like a speed boat would.......maybe not .....that is just the way it looks in my eyes....hey who am I? Just an opinion.....

Painted one color = fine. The two-tone = ugly.

From the side it resembles a mid-70's Vette. Go up three picture from here and you will see.
