WHo is creating these colors!? I don't want a car thats the same color as a viper I already own! I have ssg, blue, silver, wheres the wild, new colors guys!? I'm so livid if this is the complete list. Great, now the wife is going to push me back to an aston martin, yes it's slower, but I can have any dang color I want. So upset.

We know Prefix can do anything, I don't understand why SRT isn't offering up a $5k option for any paint match you want, like Porsche does. Many, many, many would jump on that boat.

Couldn't agree more. SRT wants to steal share from Porsche and AM, both of which offer truly bespoke options. I'm sorry, but I'm not paying $150k for a car where I don't absolutely love the color. I've had this conversation with Ralph, I guess SRT doesn't want me to buy my 4th viper, but an AM, or maybe I'll go back to the Mclaren, I'm sad guys seriously... I didn't order a 13 cause of this issue, waiting for the 14. Maybe I wait another year, or give up...

Don't get me wrong, I like the colors (white is awesome, the silver looks great), but none make me go "holy crap that is a piece of art" like SSG, Viper Blue, and Stryker Red did did (and I know this is subjective).

If Stryker is different enough from, SSG maybe that's wild enough, but 2 green vipers, having not seen it, sounds a bit much. I mean the lambo green is different than SSG, but its pretty similar... UGH!

I really don't understand why it couldn't be done. It is a low volume car, hell make it $7,500 - still cheaper than doing a full repaint. I understand there are costs associated, but when stripes cost $5,000 - I think many would be more than happy to cough up a bit more and have any custom color they want.

I also get there are more complexities, but even Porsche has a white list of hundreds of approved paint choices. SRT should be able to pull it off - obviously at a cost to the buyer.

Agree on crusher orange, I'd love to get that color. I guess have to do a repaint!

I'll tell you why it can't be done, at least not right now. Because first, SRT needs to master the basics of production, communication to the customer, on time delivery, and treating Viper Nation right. They need to master this before they do anything fancy like custom colors.

I give the design team, Ralph, and my dealer an A+++. But something in Connor is seriously flawed. At least communicate with us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tell those of us who ordered the first day why we are getting our cars dead last. Total mismanagement. Grade F

Thanks, it's been a tough waiting game for those of us that don't have cars. It felt good to let a little steam out. Now I will quietly go back to my mode of oscillating between excitement knowing my dream car should be here soon, to disillusionment when I hear crap like MoparMan's big let-down. SRT is a skeleton crew, and what they've accomplished is nothing short of remarkable. Almost legendary. Just a couple of links in the chain are weak, scheduling and communication to their customers.

SRT, I hope you are listening! Talk to us! Throw us a bone!

A couple of weak link and the chain breaks. They need some serious restructuring, or hire some more people. Ridiculous what some of you guys are going through.

That was way too accurate. That should be tweeted to Ralph and Ralph's boss.

Don't worry guys. Dealers got theirs first and have the chance to mark them up!

I like Ralph, but he needs to grab the bull by the horns and make things right. Perhaps SRT should offer a discount to those who have been stuck on hold who ordered on good faith.

The buck stops at the top...and that's Ralph. I figure he's out selling himself and Vipers 24/7, has to know the situation, and must be hoping it will all just go away eventually if he ignores it. The ******* the phone can't resolve the issue, and the scheduling guy is probably doing what he's told, so... But he's probably right if he thinks all will be forgotten when the orders are filled...and that certainly seems to be the case here once guys get their cars.

This. I think Ralph is a great guy and I don't know if the way this has been handled is on him or not, but the whole program from the intro in NY April, 2012 to the media problems with "pre-production" cars last fall to the ordering fiasco that continues to this day has been mishandled. It's very possible that Ralph was pressured from above to rush things but rush things they did and it has been painfully obvious.

I don't think all will be right when the orders are filled...well, at least not my order. This has let a bitter taste in my mouth that will not soon be forgotten.

Thats where I'll land as well. I may still jump on the '14 bandwagon next year - but I've put off looking at other Dodge products.

Sure, I get it, growing pains. But, I am a human and I am driven by selfish desires. Buying a luxury toy should be a fun experience, not one that gives you anxiety.

That all *****, I went through it with my 08, but after you get it, you will forget all about these issues..

But on-topic, official word is no orange on anything but a T/A. Re-paint is probably where I am going, or another product. *****, but oh well... At least that's where this stands...

Crusher Orange is way too beautiful. I agree. If I get a '14 it is off to Prefix for the Orange.

Maybe the solution, so we don't complicate the build process for CAAP further, should be ability to order the car in primer with no paint. Then get it painted wherever you want and however you want. I bet you'll come out cheaper than the wack numbers SRT has for paint...

I think you miss the point about the capitalist economy.
You need to maximise profit. So expensive paint is part of the overall deal.

So I've spoken to someone very high up on this. Despite the official-lookingness (and I mean no disrespect to the poster) of the colors, these previously mentioned colors are not the official or final 2014 colors. So I'm optimistic that I will be eating some crow here on my reaction. These colors listed were shown to SRT dealers as 2014, but there are some things being worked on regarding colors (specifically the stryker color(s) ). I'm not sure how much I'm supposed to know, and since all this is being decided as we speak I'm gonna stay quiet and wait to see the final color set.

So I'm optimistic that I will offer a very humble apology on an untimely over-reaction...
