So before you stress, this IS NOT my current Viper I’ve been posting pictures of, this was the one I had for 22 days prior to that one. (I’m posting these pictures as I’ve been asked about this car by a few folks, so as I’m over the morning period, I can now share my misery.)

This is what happens when a carbon fiber and fiberglass car get into a fight with a sharp object at 29 mph. (I’d had it for 22 days……. This sucked.) It was a shame as the car just got away from my buddy as he was coming out of a full stop, getting onto the freeway.

I’ll say this, and probably get a legal notice but I don’t care, DO NOT give business to Dell Auto Body (Dell Autobody and Refinishing: Collision Repair and Restoration) in Campbell! In short, they made this entire process more painful than necessary as they tried to convince me _not to_ total the car, thus keeping it on their rack longer. To add insult to injury, they then turned around and kept 6k of my money from the settlement as they said that “because my car was on their rack, they could not accept new cars.” Needless to say, I highly recommend the Works In Santa Clara Works Auto Body, Santa Clara, CA : reviews They are much more professional, have a better business ethic and are trustworthy.

"getting onto the freeway" is a MAJOR associated cause of Viper mishaps...to say nothing of "my buddy".

GLAD that you guys are OK...as you know, cars can be fixed or replaced.

Sorry to hear about you first Viper.

I'm glad to hear The Works took care of you. I always recommend Chris and the guys at The works. They've worked on my cars on multiple occasions and always do amazing, professional work. I wouldn't trust my cars to anyone else.

Wroteof my first Viper on the front of a semi, so I know how you feel. I hit the tractor after hydroplaning though 2 huge puddles on the highway. I think the run flat tires were partly at fault.

I bought a better Viper because of it though.
