Been looking at some 2008 SRT-10 wheels and tires packages, 18 front 19 rear. I know the wheels will fit a Gen 2 but is there any problems with the larger rear tires rubbing on the GEN 2s. Do you have to drop down a tire size to make them clear?? If so what is a safe tire size to make them clear??

OK this is what I am doing to my GTS.IM going with the Razor 08 wheels 19 on rear and 18 on front. Tires are REAR Nitto NT-05 335/30/19 and 275/35/18 front. Same exact section width as the stock 17 inch tires(13.18). Diameter of the stock rear tires were 26.23 and now its 26.91 for the 19s. Speedometer will now be 58.4 vs the stock 60mph.So there is very little difference in the rear tires.

I am going to get mine fixed since going to 09' six spokes on my 96' but for now its approximately 6mph off at 65mph. Speedo shows 59mph and 65mph on 2 different pace vehicles (stock vehicles)... GPS shows about a 6mph difference also but gets worse as speed goes up, about 13mph off at 140mph. Ive got a yellow box on my Busa and it reads perfect, I think they make one for cars. Try motorcycleradar.com

Oh yeah, mine don't rub either...

Just remember that if you go to a larger rear wheel diameter you are also changing the final gear ratio. That is why the speedo is slightly off. Larger tire = less power felt. Be like having 3.00 rear gears instead of the 3.07. Not alot of difference, but thought I should mention it. I thought I remember someone saying that they had 3.55 rears and 19" on a gen 2 and it was like having 18" with the stock 3.07 gears.

Red - He is 100% correct. That is why I ended up with 3.73's on the rear. Makes me sit somehwere around a 3.45 final.

Very good info there VENOMIS! :2tu:

You are correct! Thats why I decided not to go with the 345s and go with the 335s. So it would keep the tire hight close to the 17 inchers. Thanks

IF anyone has any or knows where I can get some I need center caps for the 2001 5 spoke polished wheels. They will be going on the 08 wheels.

If the cops around you are anal about going 1 mph over the limit you might want to get it calibrated. I've been pulled over a few times because of the larger rim will make your car travel faster than what the speedodometer shows.

you will not have any problems unless you have dramatically lowered the car.
You can always use a handheld GPS to calibrate your speedo, but I would not bother.

Just be sure you don't pay too much for razors.... we have them for under $1400 a set right now new in a box, Tires from right at 1100 a set

I got a steal on the Razors for sure.1400.00 is also a very good price. Your tire prices are a great price for sure. The car is not lowered at all. You may know this answer. I want to put 2001 sneaky pete wheel caps on the 09 wheels. Will they fit??? And if so do you have any?

Just got the 19/18 inch Razors with Nitto NT05s. Car picked up 16lbs over the stock 17 inch wheels and tires. Was worth the weight gain. Really makes the car look more modern to say the least. Also raised the car 1/2-3/4 of an inch. Will try to post some pics. There are a few Pics in my album in my profile for now.Have not been able to get sneaky pete center caps from 99-2002 yet. Raining out and going to snow???WHAT???
