Anybody out there install this product specifically on the sills? Want to know on lets say 96 or newer has there been any discoloration of film due to
heat over time?

It will discolor over time but just go ahead and replace it when it happens. It's much better than getting the scratches and rock chips if you leave it unprotected.

An alternative is to get the side sills repainted occasionally. I have the 3M stuff on another vehicle of mine and it scratches from rocks and other debris and looks like scratched plastic covering. Also, the 3M stuff is not cheap. I can get my sidesills repainted for about $100 each which isn't that expensive if you do it every couple of years.

Gary is it, If your getting your sills repainted the right way with clear coat  for $100.00 each then I have a bridge I'd like to sell you cheap!

It definitely helps to know people who know people. I just had one repainted because a buddy scratched (and dented) it while he was loading it on a trailer for me. I got the side sill repaired AND painted for $100 and it looks as good as new.

ps: keep the bridge
