What safety belts are you going with and where to buy?? Can you still keep your factory belts in place and will they be useable??

5 points if you cut a hole in your seat bottom and use it like it's designed. 6 points keep your butt more firmly planted in the seat and help you drive the car.

Installing the 5 points using the forward mounting point is almost useless- both from a safety standpoint and a "feel the car" standpoint.

Nothing should require drilling.

The 5th and 6th point connect back to where the lap belts anchor. They lay over the seat, you sit on them, and then pull them up so that the straps wrap around the thigh area.

They really pull you BACK into the seat instead of the 5 points that try to push your shoulders DOWN. The change from 5 to 6 points in a stock seat makes a huge difference in how well you feel the car and how you don't feel like submarining...

5 point is good for drag racing... 6 is too, but 5 is comfortable for a short period of time. check out the teamtech harnesses either way. There is a very nice write-up by a VCA member in the illustrated upgrades section about how to install them.

Thanks!

Janni is probably correct but I'd need lipo before I could use 6 points.

Hmm.... how do I respond in a sensitive manner....

There's another consideration... The 5 points can be, umm.... how do you say, "confining to the boys"... with the v shaped strap configuration on the 6 points, less pressure is placed on this rather sensitive area.

Got it?

PS - Chuck - we're trying to decide if we can make it to MAM.... but we sure as heck better see you at BOTH Sebring and VIR this year.

Ill use Jon B.'s famous line..."The year matters"

I installed 5 points on my 94 and followed the "recipe" in the "how to" guide and it wasnt too hard...But I had to "drill out" the holes where the harness mounts behind the seat....
There were threaded lugs there but they were covered up, I also used the Autoform rear panel but I had to modify it with a dremmel tool for the slots to line up on my snake.
I would say it took me about 4 hours, going slow.

Cheers,
