Anyone know the wire colors of the reverse light in the left tail light unit? Looking for the pos wire and the neg wire. I’m installing a backup camera. Thanks, Bill

Easier to use a voltage meter or a test light. You could have done that faster then typing your question and found your answer. Safer too.

You are right, I was just being lazy, test light worked fine. Now I need a suggestion of where to cut an access hole to get the camera cable from the trunk to the cabin behind the seats. Or, ideas from anyone who has installed a back up camera. (Not wireless) my Viper is a 2005 Vert. Thanks, Bill

I installed my camera in my trunk and ran the wiring along the factory harness. I then was able to snake it through the interior under the back carpet and then up through the center console. Car is up on the lift for winter now but ill look back and see if I have any photos of the install.

Edit: just went through my phone and couldn't find any photos of the wiring for this. It was quite simple if I recall once you have the trunk open with the top down and see where the wiring can be ran without getting caught up or interfering with the top mechanism.

eaks, I installed the rear camera in the trunk lid and followed the factory wiring attached to the lid till it disappears in a 1 1/2” hole in the top of the left rear fender. Would you happen to remember where the wiring goes after that and where access to the “back carpet” is? Thanks, Bill

I didn't actually use the factory harness all the way into the car. I just attached on the factory harness until it left the trunk. After that I just ran the wiring into the cabin and under the carpet (behind the driver seat) into the centre console.

Thanks eaks, I finally figured out what you were telling me. I followed the factory wiring then went forward under the soft top mechanism. I covered all the new wire with split tube protection and dropped it down near the rear door post and under the carpet behind the drivers seat. I crossed the trans tunnel under the glove box, then along the right side tunnel cover to under the dash, easy after that. Thanks again, Bill
