Sure says alot for the stock parts. I see stock airbox, intake, valve covers, mirrors even wipers and a whole bunch of other stock parts as well. Are those the stock manifolds??? With original heat wrap???

Geez, even a passenger seat for thrill rides.

Nice pictures, Cooray! Thanks====

I would hope that DC would support anyone racing the Viper, anywhere in the world. Especially against competition like that!

I didn't realize you mates down under had such a cool racing scene, either. That looks like world class stuff going on there.

When I was 20, the US aircraft carrier Midway stopped in Perth. I met a beee-uuuu-tiful blonde lass. We corresponded for a while, but at that time it was unlikely I would come back again, so we parted ways. Very sad.

The houses in Perth were really nice, all around lush green coastal hills. The cars looked a little different, even American cars that I recognized from the States. I thought that was odd, how some of the minor body panels seemed to have been special for the Australian version, or something. Maybe I just had not seen any new cars, being in the service for a while, you can get out of touch with some current events.

People were great. Bible study there was unusual, with everyone getting on their knees, folding hands on their chair, and confessing sins out loud. An unusual custom for the States, where we make a science about hiding our faults. Me included, of course.

What sort of tyres did team Oreca vipers use?????

The Ferrari Michelloto only weights 2640lbs so 3/4 through the race it can past the viper easy around a corner.

Regards

With all that against it, it still places in the top 6...Amazing......Are you allowed to lighten the car????Because a bone stock Ferrari 360[Michelloto]is not 2640lbs....So since it was lightened why cant the Viper be lightened...

Also it doesnt look like those Vipers have a much downforce as the rest of those cars....Look at the airdams and ground effects[Michelloto et al] on the other cars compared to the Vipers....I guess that is because of no factory backing......Again its simply ridiculous that a car not very far removed from stock can run with those factory sponsored fully race preped vehicles.....It seems that the other cars have to have alot less hp for a heavy Viper to be so competative...In any case, Vipers is simply amazing machines..

COORAY! havn't seen u post in a while (never post myself, just browse but had to post when aussies are concerend) but good to hear from u again. Rusty and the other Viper boys are definately doing well for themselves, especially against that AUD$750,000 Michelotto 360 Modena. I almost cried when it crashed on debut at the Grand Prix!

Are you sure the Vipers have 650hp??? i was pretty sure it was closer to 500hp - 550hp because they arn't allowed too many engine mods

You and your son still cruising around Carnegie because when i used to talk to him on icq he said Carnegie was your sunday drive? I live in Murrumbeena and still havn't seen u around! Are u still in touch with Dee and Dion down at the 911 Factory?

Rowan.

A few of us watched a leg of our GT series yesterday, with the team using an ex Oreca car, (C2 chassis). The body and espically the engine looks nothing like the pictures above, running a lot more cooling aids and aero downforce. With 33mm governing restrictors, it runs an estimated 650bhp. Every car on the track has to use Dunlops, but I'm sure they would prefer Michelins

That is cool. I have been trying to catch the auto races on tv, but never see any vipers in the races?? All I ever see is nascar; nothing wrong with that, but no vipers of course.

It would be nice to be able to see some Australian races on the telly also.
