The story starts out saying she's an "animal rescue" advocate...which totally made the ridiculousness of owning 77 Vipers WAY more palatable for me.

I've got to see a lot of car collections over the years and although this one is small compared to most that I've seen, it's the only one I've seen that was car specific. Pretty outrageous and just perfect!

...... however I AM Biased.

Might have $3-4 millions worth of Dodge vipers. I would rather have a much smaller variety of exotic cars, Ferraris, Mclaren, Lamborghini, Pagani etc. for the same money.

I know them well, they are actually really nice people, and yes she is a huge animal advocate. I do, however, agree that my collection would/will have more variety. I think I'll be stopping at 4 Vipers myself.

I think it's good publicity for Viper overall tho... Thanks for posting, I'll be seeing them next month, so I'll bring it up...

I believe him. They have to be pretty sharp to sell their business and do as well as they have. If they are collectors, they've made some pretty bad choices, so I believe it's the love of the car that drives them. I'm sure if they were investors, the collection would look a little different.

D'ann and Wayne have open the door to their collection many times for our club, the collection speaks for it self. They also have other cars like a ford gt and few corvettes.

You would have to ask Ms. Rauh what Viper stands for., but you are correct ,77 of anything icertainly is a collection. The value of the collection is a different issue. More power to them.

That one is easy. VIPER stands for: American Power, Individualism, Speed, Beauty, and Creativity !!!! APISBC was determined to be too hard to pronounce as a car name though, so they went with VIPER.

That's just ONE of the buildings! The Wayne and D'Ann have at least 3 more buildings like that. By the way, if you ever meet them, you'll be impressed with how down to Earth and friendly they are.

There are several big time Corvette collectors, one guy in Ohio used to have every year and model stored, most had under 20 miles, Rauh's have to be the biggest Viper collectors I know of, one guy near Cleveland is trying to catch them....

Are the vehicles organized and displayed in some way, by gen, year etc (1992 to 2014 for example)?

Might be informative to see such a collection if the 77 represent all the Gens and specialty ones as well. Interesting to see how an automobile evolves mechanically and by design.

D'Ann is well known by everyone at the Viper plant along with Ralph for many years now. The oil situation allowed her to collect this massive collection and her hanger by the house that stores these is a museum in itself and VERY well organized. My personal favorite she has is her new GTSR replica Gen V in blue and white with matching leather interior.
