9 and 10 and 11 second Vipers please read..........

I was thinking about all these fast cars meeting in Bowling Green for the V10 Nationals and the safty aspects. Last time I ran, I wore my light fire jacket I use when I race my f-body. I have a full heavier suit (jacket,pants,boots,gloves,neck brace) I wear when racing my outlaw car that I should wear when running the Viper. Seems kind of goofy to do in my daily driver but it doesn't cost anything suit up. I think per nhra rules anything faster than 11.99 must wear a jacket, I am not sure when pants etc. kick in. Anyway.....its just some food for thought for the faster crowd. This from a guy without a roll bar.

Good points, Tony. It's easy to forget about safety when we get amped up on horsepower. When running the yellow beast I always wear a fire jacket & shoes, 5-points restraints, and my car has an NHRA-legal rollbar.

I do always wear safety clothing, helmet, gloves and shoes. My Viper has 8-point Roll bar, Half and Main shaft loops and flywheel shield. Would newer use ET Streets without Flywheel shield.

Treynor your yellow is a RT10 correct?

I was going to get a roll bar for my RT10 from Tom but he only has them for GTSs.

Where did you get the roll bar?
