Here is what I don't understand. Buyers and sellers have no idea about structuring price for Vipers...

How is it that a GenI RT/10,everyone thinks is worth nearly 40k or OVER 40k? 5 years ago I bought my 84 RT/10 for 38k. Give me a freaking break.
Then on another thread the same people with say a 98 or 99 RT/10 or GTS is worth low to mid 40's. Please... A GenI RT/10 vs a Gen II 98 or 99 GTS is only worth 3-5k difference and at times, same value?? HAHAHAH

Dam G,
that 84 has got to be worth a cool mil! One of a kind :D :D

Here's the way I see this Viper price question.

There are guys who are not in a hurry and have their cars up for sale at high prices.
They are either going to sell at a high price or not at all.

There are guys who need to sell. They either don't care so much about the money or for some reason must get out of the car.

I believe that many of the cars in the first group just sit there with a high price. People see this high price and think that Vipers are selling for that high price. Perhaps some of them do sell.

The second group are cars that get sold fairly quickly at a price that most people would think was too low to be true.

There are a number of guys right here on this thread that say they bought or sold Vipers at low prices. It's real, it happens.

You folks who think that a 2002 GTS for $45.7k is not real or that it was sold to a dealer, I just don't know what to tell you. I don't know where you have been. They have been pointed out and discussed right here.

Tell me, if used Vipers are available in model years 04, 03, 02, 01......
What do you think they are worth?
I said mid to high $40s for a 2001-2002 GTS. I showed you one.
I'm not asking what you would sell your car for. I'm telling you that this is a reasonable price and the cars do sell in that range from time to time.

Joe, I"ll give you 15k for your car. I see them for sale for that price before... In fact, I just missed a 1999 w/ 16k miles for 28k.....

You think I'm kidding?

Now Gerald, let's stick to the facts.
I said I thought I would be lucky to get $26k for my car. I still believe that the car would bring about that much.

You just missed a 99 16k car for $28k. OK, I didn't see it but I believe you saw it.
What has that got to do with my car?
Are you saying that my car is worth that much less because you saw ONE 99 Viper for $28k?

If there were many 99s selling for $28 then I'd agree. I just don't think there are many. Now remember, we aren't talking rebuilt wrecks.

I haven't seen any cars like mine selling for $15k. I'm not going to argue with you and say that it isn't true. I will say that $15k is much lower than any other non wreck I have ever seen.

I'd say that $25k is about as low as I have seen any non wreck Viper selling for.

And what has my car got to do with a guy who has a 60k mile car with repainted quarters asking $40k?

I started this by saying that his car was only worth about $30k tops.
What do you think? Please, Gerald, don't tell me it's worth what someone will pay. If you want to disagree with me, give me a value.
