Should be 9 1/2 Qts for engine, 1/2 qt for filter. The only factory approved synthetic oil is Mobil 1. The cooling fan seems to kick in at about 210+ by my gauge. Turning the A/C on (if you have A/C) will make the fan come on sooner. Where is Laupahoehoe, HI? Big Island? You've got the best of both worlds, the right car and the weather! I have to wait for the Michigan spring thaw before the Viper comes out of hibernation, that is usually about April. Right now there is much snow on the ground and ice, not very good weather for a snake! Did you just get your Viper? If so, welcome to the club. You will find it to be an awesome car, be careful and learn its power slowly.
