95 viper fuel pump

My fuel pump is going in my 1995 r/t 10 viper. At the dodge dealership in melrose ma they quoted me 3500, 1500 for the fuel pump and 2500 for labor. I think this is complete crap, so i was wondering if there were any diy's for replacing the fuel pump, where I can get one, and if there is anything else that may need to be replaced with it?? is that the price for the actual oem viper fuel pump, cause i believe you can put another fuel pump in there that is not oem and it will still work in the same way right?

I dont know the cost of the complete module but i know its hefty....

yes you can just replace the actual pump for about 200 bucks. do a searc here for walbro or fuel pump. you will find plenty of info. some of it very recently.

Labor charge is crazy, I did my gen 1 pump and it was not hard at all. Get the car up in the air, grab a few cold ones, and go at it.
