I have never discussed this in the forum, but through all my research and tracking of all 96 GTS, I have come to the conclusion that there were not 1,166 made, but only 1,128.
If you run the VIN's for 1129 - 1166, there is nothing. Secondly, I have never seen one of these cars for sale. I have asked around, but know one seems to know why these are missing.
Maybe someone has information that I have never come across, but I do find this intersting.

I have ...0534. It is a full race, single-seat, caged set-up. The chassis and body may be the only stock parts remaining on it.
