I can help you out with the 1996 issue. BLUE / WHITE IS ONLY COLOR AVAILALBLE..

As for the 1998's, know that there are red ones!

If I'm not mistaken, take a look at the vin info on this site. I think it indicates 3 white GTS's for 96'. Can't seem to remember seeing even a picture of one.......
