96 GTS Interior Door Latch, Missing or Normal?

Hi:

New Viper owner here: 1996 GTS (New Jersey)

I am in the process of trying to figure out if a piece (Actually 2) is missing or this is normal. My instinct says it is missing. I have both Pass. and Driver sides door latches that look like the photo. Kinda "unfinished."

Is there a piece that goes in here to cover it up or is this normal to look so bare?


I see Jon B has some cool replacements but says he needs the cores in return, which is why I think I am missing something.

If it is missing, is this a snap-in piece or do I have to replace the whole unit if it is missing.

They are plastic pop in pieces that are easily broken. Replacements also aren't cheap. I wanna say $70 each or so. Contact Chuck Tator's Dodge.

I have mine but the passenger slide keeps sliding off. Just won't stay on. Any suggestions for getting these guys to stay, short of putting a big screw through them?
