96\' RT/10 Side Curtains Question

This is probably a stupid question, but I'd rather appear stupid than go outside one day and see my Snake missing. I have a 96' RT/10 with the hard glass sliding curtains. Is there any lock set (OEM or aftermarket) I can buy so the windows can't be just slid open by anyone and them open the doors, and hop in? On the same note, my driver side curtain is missing the sliding piece of glass. If anyone has the sliding part or the whole assembly for sale, please email me at [email protected] or PM me.

Re: 96\' RT/10 Side Curtains Question

There is no OEM lock feature for the '96 sliding windows. I'm also not aware of any after market pieces other than buying different windows. I've never really worried about the security neccessity of a lock. Most of the time the top and/or windows are out anyway. The car is highly visible and I find people do not generally mess with it.

I am with Matt, never been a worry to me. Now, you have seen those glass door locks on cabinets in stores (jewelry, electronics, etc.) where an attendant must open them with a key to show you. Well, a glass place might be able to cut a hole for installation. I don't think the appearance is all that attractive, but would lock the sliding windows.
