who manufactured the shocks for the 1996 gts? gabrielle?
what is the paint code for the blue shocks?
i need to paint my gabrielle shocks on my 1966 gt350 which also came with blue shocks.

My 02 had Koni from the factory. Not sure what 96 came with. Are you positive they are the originals?

The 96 shocks are Koni's painted in blue. The 96 Koni Blue is very similar to the late build 66 GT-350 Blue Gabriel's. Tony Branda had various vintage shock shades in spray cans. You can also try contacting Koni service for the paint.

96, the RTs have, as we all know, Gen 2 suspension. The GTS has the Blue Konis. The RT has the Orange Konis. Not sure how the are different other than the color.

As Frank mentioned yes they are. About 2 years ago I paid $250 each to have the set rebuilt on my 99 ACR. Powder coating the coil springs is extra. Rebuild kits are also available. Koni used to have a couple authorized service centers across the USA that you could ship too or buy kits from.

The Gen-1 Koni is shorter.

I thought Gen 2 shock is shorter because when the lower ball joint was relocated the lower shock mount moved inboard.
