99 GTS doors not opening all of a sudden. Fobs and handles inop

I drove the car today, when I went to get out the door handle from the inside would not release the door latch...I had to use the mechanical emergency handle to get out. The handle on the outside is not working either, nor is the key fob.
Everything worked perfectly earlier today. I've checked the fuses, I made sure the eem is plugged in, everything is the way it has been. Thoughts?

The wires in the door jams are known to get broken after awhile, might be worth looking at. Both doors no working? If it's both then it's probably not the wiring.

It appears the harness to the door has broken wires. Very common and exactly as you described.

I notice the red light on the dash is not blinking any more...it is both the passenger side and drivers side door. I had left the headlights on for a short time before I drove off in it...consequently it started slowly. Could this have anything to do with it? I feel like pinched wires would cause an intermittent issue.

If the issue was only a one-time deal then anything is possible. Although If you notice this happening intermittently my guess would be the door harness.

Common problem on the Gen-2 cars. Most likely your battery is weak and needs to be replaced.
