99 GTS Side Exhaust

Who makes that factory appearence GEN I side exhaust. Would like to put it on my 99 GTS coupe. Really like it, any pros and cons out there

I think most guys are just using GenI covers. I think FLX109 has exactly what you are looking for.

Most just use stock Gen I side sills, you can buy fiberglass ones from Autoform too.

I love that B/W above, like it better than stock. But I believe I read here where someone else did this to his GTS and it was too loud inside the coupe and they were replaced with the stock system.

I ran side exhaust on my 98 for a year or so and am back to rear exhaust. I am running b&b headers, no cats and borlas. It looked great but the sound got to me. Stick with the rear exhaust.

I've got the BB headers, no cats, and BB exhaust on my GTS. It is considerably louder than my dads gen 1 with modded cats and mufflers, but because of the rear pipes it isnt loud inside so much. I would think that a GTS with side pipes would really get the head ringing since it cant escape through the top and isnt masked by wind noise.

I just finished my 97GTS side exhaust and love it. I used the Gen1 side sills(they are around) stayed with the stock headers and cats, but used an aftermarket muffler. It is MUCH quietier than my Borla system, which I didn't care for(personal preferance). I lost the DRONE at all speeds. I love the looks also. I am "old school" and a modern day Daytona Cobra Coupe should have side exhaust.

Mine isn't to loud, definately louder than stock,I have the Corsa track system and no drone.
