A few goodies on the 09 SSG vert (56K beware)
Hello guys, I just completed a few mods to the 09 SSG vert and wanted
share them with you. Dan at DC worked on the car with a help of Jon@
partsrack and Mark@woodhouse getting the right parts.
After the storm cleared we had a beautiful Saturday here in So. Cal so
I took her out for a long drive. All I can say is I'm extremely happy with
the way the car feels and looks now. As others have said before, all vipers
should have come from factory like this in first place.
Here is a list of mods and a brief feedback:
* Belanger headers with HF cats (I agree with others that have gone
with the belanger, love the added power and sounds)
* Corsa Track (2.5"; I prefer the belanger catback sounds but the
corsa makes a better choice due to no drone)
* Mopar PCM (raised rev limiter and the sharper throttle response
makes this mod a must. I dont' miss the decel pops as others have
said)
* Motons (lowered 1" for street use. No more bouncy ride and the
improvement in handling is noticeable)
* MGW short shifter (like the overall feel but somehow 1-2 shift feels
like 1-4??)
* MGW gear knob and other chrome goodies (just some eye candies
for my wife)
* Woodhouse tranny mounts (wheel hops eliminated however it adds
a slight shifter vibration, a fair trade IMO)
* DC steering rack bushing (sharper steering feel and a slight improvement
in road feedback)
* DBA 2pc rotors(F) and 1pc rotors(R) (Not much lighter than the
stock ones but it performs well while looking good)
* V1 hard wired (a best radar/laser detector for the money)
In the near future, I will be doing 3:55 or 3.73 rear gear swap as well as
5th and 6th gear swap (CTS-V's .80 and .64) then the car will be shipped to
Korea where I'll be enjoying her whenever I go visit.
BTW, the car made 576whp and 546wtq on the dynojet at DC.
Enjoy the pics....
