An Enzo? Are you sure "steal the show" isn't just a bit biased? :)

:Edit I see you're in the UK, that might explain things...:D

I'm not doubting the Viper got looks and questions were asked. BUT to say it "Stole the Show" away from a cars Such as a Enzo(1 of 399) F50 (1 of 349) and F40 (1 of 1311) is hard to believe IMO.

It was a charity event and the two vipers made about $400 in 4 hours...

Those cars are the very definition of "exotic". Love or hate the styling but just looking at pictures of them gets the blood pumping faster.

I was looking at that grey Porsche above and noticed the front emblem looking like a Ferrari. What the hail is that grey car above? Sure looks more Porsche than Ferrari.

Sorry, but only a fool would check out a Viper over a F40,F50, or Enzo.

If you are refering to BAZ's comment that "2 Vipers showed up and stole the show", I'm sure BAZ didn't mean that it the literal sense, it was more of a "wink" towards the Viper faithful! A little humor, if you will.

Truthfully, I'll bet people there still checked out the Viper, along with all the other great cars that showed up. Its not like everyone there kneels down and only worships the top dog to the exclusion of all other cars! True car afficianados appreciate most makes, if they are fair minded. I appreciate most cars for what they are, for their salient characteristics.

I was at a Ferrari meet, and several F-car owners came up and had good things to say about my GTS. Perhaps in their mind, they were just being kind, but it still showed that they had some class, and were not too snobby to recognize great cars, regardless of their status. It struck me as a little funny, because I am not the kind of guy that looks at my ride like some kind of security blanket, and I didn't need any well-intentioned stroking, though I did enjoy talking to them about their horseys. I don't look down on cars that have less status and/or performance than mine, nor do I look down on cars that have greater status and/or performance than mine, that type of behaviour is telling of juvenile insecurity.

That's the way I took it. I just wanted to respect the Enzo.

Brits correct me if I'm wrong but it wouldn't surprise me if Vipers are just as rare as Enzos or most other high end exotics over there. And being that the Viper is rude and crude and the very best at being rude and crude (in fact, we take pride in it :) ) I can see why it would garner similar attention of an Enzo.

In the Uk you see as many Enzo's on the road as you do Vipers I once did 60 miles of freeway with an F40 and we nearly closed the road.

Stock Ferrari's are moderatly common 355, 360's etc,

But Lambo's, Vipers, Enzo's, F40 and F50 rare.

Nice photo's Baz.

Baz: Great looking event, thanks for the pics ! I know your cars sounded different than anything else there for sure.

There is an Italian car show in town once a year and always dozens of really cool cars show up (most of the time with their respective egos riding within) but the cars are works of art and their illusiveness is very attractive to most. I have somewhat wanted to take my car, but it is a "Italian Only' thing.

Mad props to someone who can buy both a F40 & F50, and also to the guy who can buy an Enzo.

Baz, question: Do you ever see Crazy Bugattis like the Veyron "on the road" over there or are they reserved only for air conditioned car collection galleries ? ?

Dont think they are into production yet with the Veyron ?
have seen a blue Bugatti E110 on the road though in the UK, now thats a very rare car makes the F40 seem common. Ever seen one of those up close ? amazing looking cars

I have never seen any model Bugatti in person, the EB110s are very cool, agreed. BUT where I live, I have also never even seen a Vanquish. I live in a muscle car meca, so maybe there aren't that many exotics per capita...

I got to see an F40 while I was deployed to Saudi and wasn't that impressed. It was a really nice car, but no prancin' pony will get my blood pumping like a Viper. I'm a die hard Mopar boy, and would gladly choose American muscle over an exotic any day of the week. The Ferrari has an great exhaust tone, but it doesn't compare to the rumble of a '96 GTS or any Hemi car. The Enzo looks too artsy-fartsy, and the F50 isn't much better.

Great pics. I now have a red/red comparo pic of the Viper/Diablo to go along with my yellow/yellow V/D pics.....My God that grey poupon Porsche looks tres bland and boring next those other cars in the pics...Looks so out of place with those other exotics..Has to be the worst shape ever for a Porsche...Dare I say the new C6 Z06 looks better...

edit: Doh..just realized I got the pics in this post mixed up with the Lambo/Viper post. Good thing Im not a brain surgeon :p

I'm into cars in general i could add to the viper but nothing would replace it...
F40,Saleen S7,Mclaren F1 would be nice..
But more realistic (well sort of) SRT 10 ram,F150 Lightning,or the Lotus Carlton..
