Hey folks.
The truck is going down for 7-10 days while the headers and mid-pipes go back to Jet-Hot for re-coating.

In that time, I was thinking about doing a mod a day. :)
Of course these can't be gigantic modifications, like a full engine rebuild.
And the first person to post "BLOWER!" gets to buy me the s/c kit from JMB.
:D :D :D

Just using the days as push-pins, here's how it's lining up so far:
- Sunday: Power Inverter (new inverter, new cables, new remote)
- Monday: BLACK stainless steel braided brake lines for the front. (this may take a little machining because of Dodge's kooky junction block, but I can prep for that).
- Tuesday: ???
- Wednesday: ???
- Thursday: ???
- Friday: ???
- Saturday: New mid-pipes installed.

Let me know if you have any ideas.
Thanks!

Stereo? Speakers? Detail? Sheepskin Seat Covers? Nitrous? Intake Polish?
Stereo's already been upgraded (RB4 to RB1).
Speakers might be a possibility, at least the ones in the doors. They sound decent, but I'm sure they can be improved on. :)

Though not pro-detailed, I keep the truck in great shape considering it's a daily driver.
And with winter upon us, I'll wait until spring until I break out the old toothbrush and get the inside of the lugnuts shiny. :)

I'll pass on the sheepskin covers. Though, a heated seat insert might be nice.

N2O = not gonna happen. Plus, you don't get a setup like Jaron's in a day. LOL

Intake Polish is also more than a one-day gig.

Thanks for the ideas!

N2O = not gonna happen. Plus, you don't get a setup like Jaron's in a day. LOL - Maybe the whole set up can't be done in a day but if you consider that you are technically modifying a bunch of things each day then it becomes "a mod a day." :D

Hmmm.... Sounds like you've done most of the quick stuff. How about a billet grille, brake pads to go with the new lines, Knuetzen Valve change, mechanical guage install, or HID lights? :dunno:

1) Neon Under lights
2) Hawaiian seat covers
3) Paint the truck yellow :2tu:
4) Skull hitch cover w/ red LED eyes
5) Hot tub in the bed
6) Fake blow off valve (just to mess with people)
7) Pink fuzzy dice

When should I stop by to help?? :)

Knutzen Valve! I almost forgot about that!
If I do the new brake lines, they will be cross-drilled. :)

Pads and rotors are in good shape, but I'll probably need pads come spring time.
I will probably add Speed Bleeders to all the calipers. Not sure if that counts as a full day. Maybe it'll go in with the brake lines.

I sent a company in CA my old front fascia in exchange for one of their grille kits.
Two years ago. FAIL
One of the OEM black honeycomb grilles might be an option for this project.
Pretty cheap too. :)

I was saving the HID kit for after these bulbs go belly-up.

If the budget is still there, I might put the Diff Cooler on the list.
Since I'm wiring it differently (better) than the CC has it setup, I might cheat a little and wire it all up before bolting it all to the truck. :)
That reminds me....I need to check with my welding shop on the mount system for the diff. cooler rig......

1. Ummmmno.
2. That'd be a bit much with a black/red/silver truck.
3. ...to slow it down 10 mph while dropping 50 HP? ***? No thanks. :D :D :D
4. Hitch was removed 1.5 years ago.
5. This has potential. Maybe a 2nd Tilton pump to handle hot tub duties. :)
6. OMG. Like I don't see/hear enough STi's and GTI's running around between 1st and 2nd.
7. Always a winner!

Laser jammer installed in front bumper cover opening.
Man, the sweet LIDAR jammer systems are getting more and more affordable.
Unfortunately, with the 'sheet of plywood' front on the truck, there's really no good place to mount the blinder elements w/o cutting.
I'll probably do one on my next ride.

What's the next one????????
Sledgehammer.
:D

Truck? What kind of truck? how many miles are on her?
2005 Dodge Ram SRT-10 Regular Cab with about 45k on it.
You didn't think I post something non-Viper-powered in the Viper area, did you? :)

While the asthetic stuff is always fun, I was thinking more performance or convenience oriented.

Well then how about:

SCT Tuner/Software (I hear they're on sale...), Clutch/Flywheel, Five Point Harnesses, SFI Spec Balancer (in anticipation of boost...), or Lowering Springs.

Already have an SCT with tunes from Roe. The "Valet" one is a hoot.
Clutch was done about 4 mos. ago (Centerforce).
Five point belts could be an option. Any that don't have an obnoxious logo on the strap?
There shalnt be boost. :D
Truck is already lowered 1"/2". All the lowering kits threw in a free box of FAIL, so I had to design and patent my own lowering components. Kinda ***** being safety conscious. :)

You already done a bedliner? Spray in or roll in?
I haven't done a bedliner yet.
Slide in is FTL.
Spray-on would be nice, but that's not really a mod I can do (even though I *LOVE* Duplicolor's truck bed liner paint....heh heh)

-EDIT-

Just had a thought:
- New uber-wires from AB?

Herculiner Truck Bed Liners

Did my CJ-7. You could do it in a day easy.
Thanks!
I'll look into it and put it into consideration.

- Traction Bars = CalTracs (JMB powder coated red/black...heh heh)
- Throttle Body = OEM polished and powder coated (Viper Red) by JMB.
- Short shifter = Heh heh...no such thing for the trucks. :D
- Line Lock = Hurst kit installed with ORIGINAL KJG-designed JMB mount bracket. Also, mine is the only one that's wired up street legal.
- Hood Pad = Painted long ago. Red, white and silver. Looks great. Felt is NOT easy to paint. :)
- CAI = JMB CAI with catch can (Viper Red).
- Injectors = not yet. These are working great. May replace when one fails.
- Fuel Pump = not yet. Again, working great. And since I'm still N/A, no real need to upgrade.
- Motons = ROFLMFAO! Finding shocks for the truck is like finding Hef alone.

finding something to upgrade on your truck is like trying to find a gift for the guy that has everything.

I've got it!!!

Add one of these:

For true effect make sure the color of the camper shell doesn't match the color of the truck.

That thing is pretty nice, SweetRide!
Is that your Datsun it's mounted on? :)

I've actually considering a bed topper. But it would be without side windows and painted to match the truck. It'd be great for my annual trip to Orlando where I haul all my stuff down there and back.

The problem has been the designs I've seen so far: Fugly would be putting it nicely.

First let me say Kevan I did not think there was ANYTHING more you could do to your truck!:rolaugh::D

1) Neon Under lights
2) Hawaiian seat covers I love it!
3) Paint the truck yellow :2tu: Here we for sure have a winner!
4) Skull hitch cover w/ red LED eyes
5) Hot tub in the bed
6) Fake blow off valve (just to mess with people)
7) Pink fuzzy dice

- Short shifter = Heh heh...no such thing for the trucks. :D This is the main reason I am posting here. Wonder if a Viper one would work. Tranny is the same. Then just fab an extention onto it. Seems simple from my seat! ;) What makes you say there is nothing that can be done? I installed one on my Cummins 6 speed and am thinking of a similar set up for you.

I like the shell! Thats sweet! :lmao: All red Vipers should come equipped with those from CAAP! :D

The shifter that comes in the truck *is* a Viper shifter with the knob removed. :D
Hurst already fab'd an extension. :)

There are, of course, aftermarket shifters for the trucks/T56...but results have been meh at best.

Stickers? Big Viper windscreen sticker,
Heh heh....and add 10-15 HP? Nah.
My buddy Tom photoshopped some stuff on his truck that I thought would be fun for doing at car shows:
He had a bunch of different national flags- Germany, Japan, England- and a few 'logo flags', namely the one with two crossed checkered flags....LOL, and he put them just below the SRT logo on the door of his red QC.
Sort of like what pilots do marking their 'kills'. :D
If they were vinyl, they'd be awesome.

Louder Horns?
Cattle Horns on the front Grille Texan style :D
The insane train horns are fun for about 3.8 seconds.
Plus, watching people load their pants isn't really my thing.

Gun rack?
Heh heh.
Ya know, I didn't think I'd ever need a gun rack, but with the purchase of Rachel's rifle (Savage Arms Mako) earlier this year, it might be a necessity.

Tow Hook?
That's a possibility.
The problem is: since my truck isn't allowed on tracks, would the tow hooks become poseur....and thus full-on ricer?

I only WISH that was my Datusn. I hear the ladies love a camper shell!!!

Bed toppers are really a taste thing. I've seen a lot of them that just look hokey. I like the hard, three panel type that sit between the bed rails and don't hang over the sides.

Mopar Red Boy: If only my Photoshopping skills were better...

Heh heh....now that Dan has the quickest SRT-10 in the record books (a QC no less), he's all anxious for other truck owners to mod their rides. :D

Thanks for the suggestions, Dan, but:
- I have the JMB CAI and catch can. Probably a 1HP gain, but it looks great. :)
- A thermostat may happen this summer. With us having an actual winter, I'd like to keep the 180F in there for now.
- No offense, but I went with Roe for the tunes in my SCT.
- $4000 headers vs. the cast iron shorties the factory gave me? I'll give up the 20 lbs. and save myself a bunch of coin. :)
- I already have the MagnaFAIL catback. That won't happen again. Stainless steel myass.
- I'm pretty content with the OEM shifter in the truck. Aside from dropping a couple of hundred, I don't really see any advantages in installing an aftermarket one.
- Guys won't shut up about how nice your chromoly flywheel is. I really should have done one when I put the new clutch in. Maybe next time.
- Tailgate struts? You mean like the DropTail or the EZDown? I already have the EZ Lift installed. Only 2 holes I've drilled in the truck and well worth it. Feels like the tailgate weighs 4 lbs. now.

(For those that don't know, Dan's a very cool guy and does great work with the Viper gear. Definitely check out his site when you get the chance)

Those are pretty good.
The best mod you need is a Viper especially with all the deals they just announced today. ;)
