I thought of a trick today, that will work amazingly for 2nd gen RT/10 owners that leave their car in storage offsite. If you take your battery out, to leave it on a tender, shut your car, lock it up, and don't worry about it. If you need to get inside it during the winter, for whatever reason, just unlock the back window, reach in, and pull the emergency tab... voila.

A lot easier than hooking your battery back up, etc. Just thought of this, and thought I'd pass it on.

My trick was to move to South Florida from Michigan and forget about the whole winter storage thing. Works really great.

I undestand that, but gen one's, don't you have to unclip them from the inside? You can't rip them off from the outside... so this could still work for some guys.

Btw, battery tender won't work... it's not my property, and there is no plugin there... it's a heated garage, thats it. :)
