The V10 is very detuned. In bigger Cobra spec it makes over 600hp. If they ever do produce a few tuner V10 Mustangs - a few tweaks will turn them into serious weapons.... the sad thing (for us) about it is the SOUND
The sound of that Ford V10 is so sweet it'll make us Viper fans cry..... not sure what they've done to get that - but it is the meanest sounding V10 on the planet if you like the concept of a sound that combines the bass and note of a big block high winding V8 with the smooth scream of a V12 all in one package.
This is the perfect response. The stats on this car ARE impressive. This motor was also looked at by Hot Rod Magazine. The car was a Mustang Mule that they also did an in depth look at as well. My biggest beef with Dodge is that Ford did a great job on the motor, good for 600 hp and the Dodge motor was aching(can I say this?
) at 450 HP. Maybe the next Coupe for the Street will be using a stock block with 600 HP on 8.3Liters. That would be awesome! If you all remember the show on Discovery or The Learning Channel? The program was called Rides? on Tuesdays. They did an in depth ground up look at the newly designed brick err Cobra that even J. Mays, Lead designer at Ford said "I like the car from the back bumper to the middle of the front wheel well
Many of us don't like the front fascia either!
