If you don't care about color there is an exotic rental car company in the LA area which rents Vipers (as well as Ferraris). We rented my father one for Father's Day. It was a steel grey RT/10 Roadster. I can try and get the name if nobody in the area knows off hand. I believe the cost was $500 for the entire day.
I rented a red RT/10 by LAX airport on Aviation Blvd., unfortunately I don't remember the name. I will look it up in my CC receipts tonight and post tomorrow.
Beverly Hills Rentals or Renta a car, something like that, its right near LAX, not near beverly Hills. They have many exotics, usually a 3 day minimum.
Budget/Luxury Line on Old Santa Monica in B.Hills should be able to set you up. Additionally, there is a shop that rents Vipers on Wilshire in Santa Monica across from Simonson M-B dealership.
