Just wanted an opinion from someone on this. I hit good sized bump in my 04' SRT-10, the ABS light came on right afterwards. I pulled the code when I got home and it faulted a right rear wheel speed sensor communication fault. Before I go buy a new sensor, has anyone seen this before? I checked the connections, took then sensor out and cleaned it and the light still remains on, so I am assuming a new sensor is the trick, just seems odd to me happening right after a hard bump with that right wheel. Any feedback is appriciated.

Thanks,

Andy

Also look for a cracked sensor ring.. The ring where sensor picks up revolution where sensor mounts. Give false reads if cracked or distorted and will set light.

Both great comments on the above problem. You might want to check that connection again and make sure the pins did not get bent when you reconnected the connector. You can clear the codes by removing the battery cable from the fuse box under the hood for about a min and then reconnecting it. If the light stays out you are all set. Be sure to have your keys in your pocket before reconnecting the battery and then turn on the key to ignition only and let everything cycle before starting the engine.
