no, it's only a lack of vaccum,not a leak, and the only other component that use vacuum as "energy" is the brake booster but since it's pretty hard to be at WOT and braking at the same time, it's not an issue.
Yes...and don't believe the misinformation on the AC not cutting out by design at WOT or under load. It states so in the Service Manual (2001) and the AC WOT relay is further evidence of that fact. I believe my 2002 Dakota does it as well....but I rarely go WOT with the AC on. Finally, since I have a huge cam, I have low vacuum at idle. AC does not come on at idle in my car....so I have a vacuum check valve to keep enough vacuum in the line to have the AC function at idle.
