This is a pic of my 08: Is the duct the black tube to the left of the aluminum suspension wishbone/A-arm?

I could be wrong, but to answer your question, I dont' think so. The ducting would lead to a cooling shroud that would attach to the caliper, unless Dodge stopped at just installing the ducting from the fascia.

The duct cools the rotor not necessarily the caliper. All 03 plus have them.

Whatever you do, don't use the fog light inserts as a place for the ducts. According to the engineers the openings, because of there shape, are integral in the aerodynamics of the car.

RICH (and VEGAS) are CORRECT: That 3" diameter tube with its raised lip is meant to faciliate the hose-clamping of widely available brake duct hose, and/or universal caliper shrouds with limited availability. Dodge did not install that unit. I have found these guys to be the absolute BEST prices around, with wide availablity of parts that cater to the NASCAR set: Air Ducts & Hose : BSRProducts.com - Professional Racing Equipment

You could EASILY add an inline fan! However, it is already strategically directed to blast a good deal of air at the back side of the rotor-caliper interface. Most guys WONT need to add a shroud, but I added some hose

Bonus: 93-08 all have em !!!!!

Jon, thanks for the post. Interesting, so how much extra hose do you add and where do you secure it near the rotor/caliper assembly?

You can add about 7-10" of the stiffer ducting and attach it only at the OE fascia nozzle

The comp coupe parts catalog offers brake cooling shrouds for the front calipers (that you could attach your new hose from the existing ducts to) but they are a bit pricey at about $400 each. Carbon Fiber.

Chuck is on a limited budget maybe $ 25.00 for a full race brake duct system....

Is that parts catalog online by any chance?

Heh, does anyone make a spindle duct kit thats not insanely expensive?

Attaching flexible hose to the tie rod always seems to work well in a pinch. I wonder how much better real shrouds are...

Chuck,

Amen to keeping the brakes cool. I was going through brake pads and rotors pretty quickly and boiling the Motul 600 until I installed the Cone Cooling kit. Big difference with some air flow to the brakes.

Don't know of a spindle duct kit for the SRT-10. Would probably buy one if it were reasonably priced and effective.
