I read that the ACR pads are PFC 83 front, 90 rear. Or at least that's what the first ones had.

Dean, I believe you're right. My '99 ACR (3,000 miles w/original pads) stops much, much better than any other stock brake GTS I've driven.

Could anyone tell me how much firmer the ride is on the ACR then the standard GTS? I'm looking to buy either a red GTS no stripes or a ACR graphite and white stripes.

I had a silver with blue stripe GTS. Now I own a 02 996 turbo. I want another VIPER!!!

Can anyone help?

The ACR has double adjustable Koni shocks. You can adjust both bump and rebound from soft to firm - 8 clicks on each adjuster.

Ooops! I just realized that you are looking at a later model ACR with the Dynamic Suspension shocks. Those are fitted with 1100#/inch rear springs. Several folks have complained that they are far too stiffly sprung, but a couple of those have dropped down to 800# +/- in the rear and reported much improved ride and handling. The DSIs are also adjustable.
