Is it painted or tape? Feels like tape. Big edge. If painted, no clear coat.

Factory is paint.

the factory sends it out for striping, and they use paint but there is an edge. some of the "special cars" get wet sanding and they remove the edge and it is smooth.

Never seen a "special" one but they have looked and felt like tape back to '06.

I had always assumed it was tape.

If it's paint, geez... yeah that edge is crazy.

It's paint. Never gave seen one with factory stripes that didn't have the hard edge.

i like the hard edge, more real in my opinion, under clear and smooth just seems too barbie pink corvette to me, but some will think im nuts- and probably i am.... hehehehehe

The factory [conner plant] did no striping, the cars were sent or driven over to Prefix who did the stripes, my 06 has an edge, my 08 raffle car and some others have no edge as prefix wet sanded it to remove the edge.
