In need of some experienced help! I am looking at a 99 ACR. I understand the basic differences between the GTS and the ACR option (shocks, belts, badging, wheels etc.) I can't seem to find out how to determine with a VIN #. Is there another way to make certain this car is an authentic ACR?

I have a 2000 ACR but I'm not sure how to confirm it other than the things you mentioned as well as the smooth air intake (bumping HP to 460), lack of AC (although this was an option to install on ACR) and the fog lamps removed and having black covers in the holes they left.

I would say the eriler year vipers are more desirable to people in there 50’s but if I could I would buy a gen5 ACR, it’s the only car holding the record for the fastest time at nuremberg under a million dollars. elon musk might just reinvented the standard where the lap time is no longer limited by HP and weight but more so by the forces from G. With his innovation we might no longer just ware fire suits but G suits as well.
