Searched around a bit, but didn't find a very good answer. The car is a 2002 ACR, naturally aspirated, and stock intake and throttle. I reset the PCM today including training the throttle sensor and honestly it felt like I unlocked 50 hp, the throttle is so much more responsive. Still need to do some 0-60 pulls to see if it's quantifiable though.

After getting a noticeable result with just a PCM reset, I'm guessing the throttle needs to be adjusted to the correct WOT as well.

Anyone have any info, or a link to instructions maybe? I have the service manual but I couldn't find a single thing about throttle adjustment... unless of course I'm completely missing something.

Place a 1mm shim on the accelerator pedal down stop located at the floor mounting of the accelerator pedal.

Depress the accelerator pedal to the shim plate or full throttle.

Loosen the adjustable throttle bracket, on intake manifold, and move fore and aft until WOT is achieved on the throttle bodies.

Tighten throttle cable bracket bolts to 95 in lb.

Thanks for the info Dave, much appreciated. I just looked and with pedal depressed to the floor, the flaps in the throttle bodies look level. I do notice there is a small bit of play between where current full throttle is and the stopper on the axle/spring mechanism that doesn't allow it to turn any farther.

I guess the simple question is: What does WOT look like, and how do I know when it's correctly at WOT?

The first 75% of flow is probably something like the first 25% open.

The final 10% open is probably something like the final 1% of flow.

If you can look at them and they seem perpendicular you are probably good.

You might be able to check them with a small plastic bubble level. You'll need the car level. as checked on the intake manifold. Remove the intake tube, mash the gas pedal and carefully stick the level on the butterfly.

Personally, if there was no reason to believe they were off, and they look good, I'd call it good.

Go whoop a V8 car tonight just for fun. After that, you'll agree that the TB's are probably just fine!

Yeah, if they are off any, it's only very little and I can't see how the air flow would be affected more than a tiny bit. I'll call it good.

Hope the roads dry up by tonight for some test runs on the g-tech. Maybe embarrass a Vette or two heh, definitely not shortage of them around here.

Pull out the car mat.
Check that the sync is good too.
