AEM\'s Wide-band with Gauge Released Next Month

AEM is very shortly releasing a sweet (inexpensive) wide-band that has a gauge type display. It doesn't have the dual channel capability that many of you may want, however, for the price you can't beat it. If you need the dual channel wide-band, AEM's dual channel unit will work for you once the AEM EMS is released for the Viper.

We just placed a huge order for the new AEM wide-band w/gauge display that is shipping the first week in January. We're taking pre-orders now (at clearance pricing) for anyone that is interested.

Here's a link with information about the new wide-band...

I would hope it comes with a sending unit! I don't think the factory one has that much resolution.

The gauge has the sending unit (UEGO controller) built into the gauge. You simply plug the gauge into the wide-band sensor that's included and hook power and ground to the gauge. It uses the same technology as the previous AEM wide-band controller. It also outputs a 0-5V source if you're using an engine management system.

As far as the FJO sensor... those are different sensors. The FJO uses and NTK sensor and the AEM uses a Bosch sensor.

The AEM gauge wide-band comes with the controller "built in" and the sensor. So that is really all you need. However on a V type motor you will only be able to monitor one bank of cylinders.

Take care,
Chris.

When will the one for the Viper be released? Can it monitor both sides of the exhaust ( passenger & driver side ) assuming you have a sensor installed in both?

More than likely if they are using Bosch it will be the LSU 4.2

So for a dummy novice like me, this will item will tell me if I can go more boost with my realtime reports? Kind of eliminates a dyno in some sort of way or another? Could be well worth it!

Did you tell us the "clearance" price? Do you need to add a new plug in the header for a second O2 sensor?
