Hey

Can someone tell me exactly how to change the air filters and smooth tubes on a Gen 2. I heard the air box clips are a pain. Any screws etc?????

Thanks

Super...

The lack of response is due to the simplicity of this operation. Clips are not an issue, the large plastic knobs are obvious and easy to screw/unscrew. Remove the old tubes, unclip and unscrew the housing, repace the filters, add on the new tubes. Your done...30 minutes later.

Hi
So its just the two plastic knobs on the top side of the air box and the clips. Is the housing a two piece? Do I remove the tubes first???
Thanks

If I remember correctly. I removed the air box first, by just removing the clamps on the tubes and unscrewing the knob in the middle. Then just replace the tubes with the smooth ones. Replace the filters in the box and install the box.

Super, almost impossible to make a mistake big enough to worry about on this one.

1. Take off both sides of the old air tube. Set them aside.
2. Unclip the cilps and the air box will come open. If not, just loosen the big plastic screws as this will remove the air box from the frame. There will be some smaller lines attached to the rear of the air housing, but you will have enough room to open the box, without removing those lines. Open the air box and replace the filters. Clip it, screw it on and then refit your hoses with the clamps.
