I have a pager alarm as a backup to the factory alarm. I have one on my bike also. I have installed quite a few over the last 4 or 5 years on my vehicles and friends. They have about a 3 mile range depending on the terrain. They are easy to set up but the only problem is you have to have the pager with you. Looks just like a pager but goes off if anyone enters your car. It requires an antenna and on my Viper I put a rubber duck antenna behind the grill so it is not visible. They can be set up with glass break detectors, interior movement detectors and a number of other options. Some of these high tech alarms are so sensitive that a motorcycle going by sets them off and pretty soon nobody pays any attention to them when they do go off.

Hey Jim, clifford just came out with a pager alarm. You cant go wrong with clifford one of the best alarm makers out there. I just recently had this alarm put on the viper and it is pretty sweet. You can also add just about any feature u want, ie remote start, door pops, window roll ups, motion detector and anything else.
