Dear Members,

I have bad news and a heavy heart today. One of our beloved and oldest members, Allen Henning, has passed away. Allen was in the club from the very beginning and was certainly one of our most active members and always the first to greet new people. He will be missed by us all. To honor our friend and his love for the club and the Viper, we are arranging a caravan of Vipers to attend the funeral. I can think of nothing that Allen would have loved more than having all of us in our Vipers to say our last farewell to him. I know we all have busy schedules, but please do your best to attend. Please respond back to me at; [email protected] if you can make it. Allen was the guy that always had the big smile and the "key west" style shirt on, so I think it would be fitting if we all wore long pants and a Viper Club shirt (nicer one if you have it) to the funeral. For those of you coming from Orlando or West / South of Orlando we are going to meet Thursday March 20th at 9 AM in the parking lot at Sears in the Seminole Town Center Mall in Sanford, just in front of I-4. You can also reach this from the toll road 417, follow the signs to the Reinhardt Road and the mall.

For those of you coming from other areas, we can meet at the funeral home. Allen's wife told me that they will have his Viper in the procession also, driven by his son. Jackie has invited the members to return to her house after the service to further celebrate our good friend's life.

If it wasn't so far from up here, we'd be there in a heartbeat. Sad to hear of another Viper club member passing away, even though I have not personally met Allen, please communicate our deepest condolences for his family and friends, God Bless and RIP Allen. If there is a contribution fund setup for flowers or.. via paypal, I'd surely contribute.

My condolences to his family and friends...A funeral procession filled with Vipers is an awesome tribute. Good on ya for puttin' it together John.

Thank you for all the kind comments. Allen was a Viper nut, the top and throttle down was the place he liked to be. His wife said that flowers were not needed, that was not Allen, but maybe you rapp the throttle for him once next time you in your snake and he will hear that.
