I have done some research before posting this thread but from all the indecision on this issue I am still unsure about Aluminum Flywheels. Perhaps a question more tailored to my specific needs will be able to get me an answer.
First off, I am having some mods done to my car:
Corsa Track Exhaust
Belanger Headers
Randomtech Non-Ceramic High Flow Cats
3.55 Gears
Smooth Tubes and Filters
I pretty much want increased sound as well as more bottom end torque. I absolutely love bottom end torque. This is why I am going the 3.55 gears as well as the exhaust.
Now will an Aluminum Flywheel help increase bottom end performance and response? Some previous threads I have read people say there is a noticeable difference, other people say there is no difference, and finally other people don't recommend them and believe they are detrimental. I would think that since there is less rotating mass there should be more response, but I am pretty much clueless and not sure about this.
With work and all I just don't have the time to track the car. I pretty much like to cruise around and occasionally drag at stop lights. So my question is, in my case, will it be beneficial to install the Aluminum Flywheel? My snake only has 1300 miles on it, so it is not like the tech will be in that area to install a new clutch or anything.
Thanks in advance!
