the chrome moly flywheels aren't available for 2004 models [ and maybe some others ? ] or so I was told by a very knowledgeable vendor here.

I have a Fidanza on my '06 Coupe AND I have a chrome Moly steel one on my '04 Vert.

The chrome Moly one is a Dodge part and it works great on my '04. I love the way the revs pick up quickly for down shifting on both cars. I have had no heat issues with the Fidanza and I have done some track events with the car.

On each car I put in a new Stock LuK clutch at the same time the flywheels went in. All is great with both cars.

Regarding different model years, ring gear tooth-count changed in 2003...

92-02....152 teeth.
03+ .....143 teeth.

SPEC's Super Twin uses an aluminum flywheel and it has seen over 1500rwhp. I wouldn't have any issue running an aluminum flywheel; just make sure to loc-tite the bolts and tighten them up to the correct torque.
