An offer you WON\'T Refuse - IL VCA members...

For those in the Illinois Region club, we are offering a wonderful benefit to all first time drivers in any of our performance driving events! Read on, an offer you truly can’t refuse!

The Illinois Region has spent a lot of time developing its race program. We’ve been racing seriously as a club for over a decade. It’s evolved into our Performance Driving Program which includes the big three driving disciplines: high speed road course, autocross, and drag.

We’ve worked hard (oh Lord… VERY hard) to devise a professional and polished exhibition. Year after year we’ve put on quality driving events and we want to continue to share the program with new members. All driving events include your choice (or all) of:

:2tu: Complete classroom led instruction!
:2tu: In car driver training!
:2tu: Competitive events spanning all classes of Viper!
:2tu: Awards (Best rookie, class awards, seasonal awards, etc..)!
:2tu: Club jackets for class winners!
:2tu: General open track (just to have some fun or test/tune!
:2tu: Professional track photography!
:2tu: Lunch services!
:2tu: Trackside car maintenance services
:2tu: Track safety services and corner workers
:2tu: Professional computerized in car timing equipment (each driver also gets print outs)

Our club has taken aggressive steps in 2007 to take everything we do to the next level, our race program was no exception! We are offering the following initiative to ALL first time participants (must be IL VCA member) in any of our driving disciplines:

:nana: Anyone who hasn’t attended an IL VCA driving event can attend one of EACH of the THREE driving disciplines absolutely FREE ! Oh yes, you heard right...

Three free events: Drag, autocross, and road course... on us. And YOU can pick the event you want to go to, we offer this at any of our driving events. The response has been huge thus far since we published it in our mailing. There are no strings, no commitments, absolutely nothing. This is over a $500 value. We just want you to witness and take part in what we do. We want ALL OF YOU to come out of the cracks! Leave your hesitations behind and JOIN US! We’re here to create the most comfortable atmosphere, filled with everything you need, to enjoy the car in the way it was intended. Our culture is the glue that holds it all together, we want you to be a part of it!

During the summer we host several driving events each month. We visit the most popular tracks in the area (Autobahn Country Club, Putnam Park, Gingerman Raceway, etc…). We have autocrosses all around Illinois to make it easy for you to attend. We want everyone excited, this is for real! Our goal is to make everyone better drivers and get all of our members involved! Rarely does someone come to a driving event and not return again, and again. We’re willing to bet a lot on that experience. We’d love to host you! You’ll be amazed.

The links below will take you to our registration form, it has all you need to get registered. Also below is our car classification matrix (so we can put you with the right group).

If you have any questions, never hesitate to contact me directly or Aaron Vanassche (our performance driving director).

I shoulda moved to Chicago... :(

Good point, what about those VCA members in near by states? Possibly to boost participation? :2tu:

Illinois i believe is the only region that does not recogonize VCA members from other States for their driving events. I'm sure they will tell you its an "insurance thing". I remember when they had the "Viper / Ferrari Challange", had to join the Illinois VCA to participate.

I must admit, the IL VCA is by FAR the best VCA chapter out there. I believe we have the largest membership as well from any other club.

2. See as our Members race out of the "Dhalmacentupa" under heavy fire!
3. Attend a special Tech Session by...The Golden Budha himself!
4. Meet "Viper Dude" the Royal Tech Master of the 9th Order mount tires!
5. Attend the "Feast of 90 Virgins" at the CopaCabana Mintoffa Hotel!

it IS awsome! TOTALLY.

I think the best insurance we can have is more seat time in our Vipers and knowing how to handle the car. I don't like seeing the threads on 'another crash'-makes me sad for the driver and families

Folks, thanks for the wonderful compliments! You guys are the best. You know, a group of the officers were sitting around the table the other day and we were talking about how the thanks we get from our members is truly what keeps us going. Can't tell you how proud I am of the good folks I've been privileged to meet in our club. And after working with the national crowd for the short time I have, I can see we have a lot of good people all over. Although, if you knew how much we obsess about our events you'd probably think we're more crazy than anything…

A quick point, our events are open to ALL Viper Club members! One of my goals this year is to involve as many people as possible at ALL of our club events. I've gotten calls from folks as far as Nevada inquiring about them. So definitely feel free. If you're going to be in the area, or if you want to come out simply for the event, we do put together very elaborate gatherings that are HIGHLY affordable. Our club subsidizes our events (especially our racing) to a great degree. We don’t generate revenues from events, (in fact it costs us a LOTTTTT) technically we have to create so much elaborate merchandise and fundraising programs solely to put on the events we do!

We don’t have a huge membership (especially those close enough to the events) but luckily we’ve built a wonderful culture and our core of folks is strong, almost religiously tied to each other. We even had people who had to sell their Vipers but still choose to be a member of the IL club and even come to events to help. That says a lot. So we do it for them!

We’d enjoy hosting anyone from any region! We have a wild performance driving weekend coming up. May 5th we have an awesome autocross planned at Maywood Racetrack and on May 7th we’ll be at Autobahn Country Club for some high speed racing! We have training, lots of track time, drinks, etc… arranged for all who attend. You’ll have a ball. So please, if anyone is interested you can personally contact me or any of the respective Illinois Region officers. Visit our website www.illinoisvipers.com. There you can also read about past events we’ve hosted in prior years as well as see videos to get a feel of how we run our events.

See you there!
