Another Corsa question...

Is there a difference between a corsa exhaust system and the corsa "track" system? Do they both eliminate the crossover? I'm interested in a completely built TT car that has the regular corsa system. There are no tips showing at the side exhaust openings. I haven't heard the car yet...was considering a sight unseen purchase or solicit help from a VCA member in the area (near Palm Beach, FL).

They have the Track system and had another system that utilized the factory cross over. I don't know if they still make the latter.

The track system uses side pipes only with no crossover and is very loud.You can see it here: http://www.corsaperf.com/viper_track.htm

It would appear that they do not make their other systems anymore that utilized the crossover on one system and did not use it on the other.

I wouldnt say very loud but definitely louder than stock. Sound is much better in my opinion.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like the wise thing to do is take delivery of the car and drive it a few days to learn first hand about the sound. Can always change to Corsa Track after that.

I have had 3 different systems plus the stock. Started with a Corsa Track,
no cross over, 3 inch with RT cats and it was way loud even with CCI 3 disk
inserts. Then went to B&B with the RTs and factory cross over, good sound
and not too loud, a little more heat due to the cross over but not bad.
Sold that car, an 05, and bought a Woodhouse 04 Paxton, Motons etc, etc...
This car has the Corsa Track 2.5 inch system no crossover and keeps the
stock cats, very nice sound. No heat problem. Revving to 4 to 6k and almost
sounds like an F1 car. Gone is the "UPS truck" sound of the 3 inch system.
I know, opinions are like.... Still loud but I don't need ear plugs at idle
in the garage.

I too have the Corsa Track with factory cats and agree above 4k RPM it sounds incredible.
