Hi everyone. Iv'e been lurking around this web site for 2 months educating myself on Vipers. Tuesday of this week it happened. I was snake bit by an 01 red w/blk interior RT10. What a car! It is in showroom condition with the exception of a few minor scratches under the front dam but other than that it's perfect. 3K miles on the car. It's stock with the exception of MGW interior stuff, exhaust and a 4k stereo system. The car was purchased from Marv Rose in Fresno, Ca. Having never drove a viper before, Marv was very patient and took his time to educate me on vipers and what to look for when buying one. After a few instructions it was time for a test drive. WOW! WHAT A RUSH! The car is so fast stock it's hard to imagine what one must feel like modified. At 62k I probably paid a little much but it's hard to think straight with snake venom in you.

I'm planning on picking up the car next Thursday in Fresno and driving it home through the mountains to my home in Minden, NV. Thanks to all you members whose posts help me make an educated decision.

Mark,

I took delivery of my car only two weeks ago today. Made the agreement to purchase a few weeks before that. One thing different though, I lurked around for about three years before finally bitting the bullet. Found the right car and right situation and just did it. I don't think there is anything wrong with paying a strong price for the right car. I did and have no regrets.

RE: the power issue. I'm with you. I have a few hp mods to do but nothing too major. These SC cars must be just insane to drive. Can't really imagine it. Now watch, a year from now you'll see a post from me saying "what boost should I set my Roe SC at"? :headbang:

Hahaha,

Tell us how many times you check the garage to see if it's really in there after you get it!!! You will...we all did.

Make sure you call the ViperWizard for parts and advice!

Welcome aboard, Fisko40 --

You're going to love it! And with all those wide open Nevada roads to drive on you'll be insane. Get plenty of seat time before you try anything stupid and keep it going straight if you're going to "hit" it -- that back end will surprise you if you accelerate on a curve. We've had too many wrecks already this Summer. Enjoy!

Mark,

Congrats on your recent snake bite. You're gonna have a blast driving it back home. Be careful and take it easy until you get plenty of seat time. All that power and torque can bite back real quick. Soon you'll be used to all that power and you'll want even more. Enjoy and welcome aboard! :2tu:

Oh yeah, post pics. :D

Take your car to Viper Days to learn how to really enjoy it's potential. It's the best $$ you can spend on the car.
