The Haybusa guys are starting to talk smack about the video. Check it:

http://www.suzukihayabusa.org/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=007043

man - what a bunch of girls pouting with their ******* in a knot because a Bussa rider wore shorts and a backpack and got beat! Not a word about the fact that a car that can hang in there with a Bussa deserves some respect....

Those guys have been sitting on their short swords leaning over their bikes so long - they're reduced to short mincing steps and whinging about how good they are.

I like the shout of enthusiasm at the end of the video - heck - I'd yell too - and the rider was a good sport... the losers are on the bussa forum :)

Two JO's playing nip with each other in traffic.Lots of cheering because you didn't kill anyone that day.Take it to the track.Keep it off the streetLeave the potential innocent victims out of childish street antics.Witnised a little kid on a tricycle get mowed down in his own drive by a so called "racer".It was a long time ago.Cannot forget it or get it out of my mind.Parents and 1/2 the neighborhood saw it happen.Still makes my stomach queasy.I call on the moderators to remove and ban all street so called racing BS from all VCA forums.Grow up.Take it to the track or post childish street "racing" on some other forum.Off my sapbox.Enough said. Track is fine - but I didn't see any driveways - I just saw a clear stretch on a multi-lane...outside lane - no chance of pedestrians.

I've seen plenty of blood too - doesn't mean I want to drive a Volvo. It does mean I drive defensively - and I'm sure Gerald does too. Those of us who survive into our thirties and beyond learned a while back we aren't immortal.

We all should take responsibility for ourselves and stop playing moderator and conscience for everyone else. I got a problem when people think they know what's best for me all the time. Reckon a few others do too.

A haunting memory can be difficult to cope with and may colour how you drive on the road for life - but it doesn't give you the right to impose the same straight jacket on everyone else.

If it gets to the stage we all gotta drive the same, in a uniform way, at uniform speeds, no room to be ourselves - might as well catch a bus or a cab.... you first - I'll pass on that thanks.

While we're at it - why don't we just ban normal drivers and make everyone that isn't a street racer take the bus. Then there won't be anyone in the street racers way during these moments of heroic acts. Since we can't ask everyone in "our" way if it's OK that we race around them, let's just get them off the road. It would be undemocratic to just ask the "racers" to not street race in traffic - wouldn't it?

Nothing good is going to come from passing a "normal" motorist at 130+ MPH. You might be in control, but what if they panic and switch lanes?

Besides - street racing is illegal. And yes - so is speeding. We all speed, but it's still illegal. As long as the racer knows the consequences and is willing to spend 15 years to life in jail for manslaughter - that's his choice.

I'll take my chances with the street racers, since I believe in freedom of choice. I just hope my daughter or son doesn't get killed by somebody being stupid...
