We are the #2 Ram truck store in the World and I have not heard of one single complaint on the 8.4 screen. JD Powers even noted Chrysler as having the the easiest electronic to use. So far, all or our customers love the new screen, as the lettering is big and bright enough for us old farts to see it, ha,ha!!

Yes, my Launch Edition was one of the ones that was sitting on the line for 3-4 weeks in "Trim" status. Fact is, as discussed earlier in the thread, UNSOLD LE cars were built and shipped before mine. Interestingly, I would have gotten a LE car sooner by NOT placing a deposit back in October...and just buying an unsold car a month ago....what gives? All this talk in the beginning about Viper owners taking priority must have been a rumor....or something is mixed up in the logistics. Growing weary....

Interestingly, I would have gotten a LE car sooner by NOT placing a deposit back in October...and just buying an unsold car a month ago....what gives? All this talk in the beginning about Viper owners taking priority must have been a rumor....or something is mixed up in the logistics. Growing weary....

If anything, people who had money down should have been at the front of the line, not dealers who were going to add $20k markups to the cars and let them sit...

Man, that *****. SRT executed exceptionally on design and performance, in my opinion. It seems their operations and logistics side needs some work. My story is similar, I gave a deposit to my dealer a few weeks prior to orders opening. He entered the order first thing in the AM, the Monday that ordering opened. I'm still waiting too. Mine's not an LE so I'm not too surprised I don't have mine yet. But I am surprised at your story, I would have thought that all sold LEs would've shipped before all other cars.

Finally spoke to a lady at Canadian Customer service who told me my VIN 400496 went to D1 status on April 22, and should get built at the end of June.
Only hope that means I'll get it sometime in July. Sorry to be Viperless as I sold my 08 back in March

good to know I'm one number off from u as u know (400495) and the Chrysler line told me I went D1 the same time as you...she told me 20-30 days from there to go to frame but I think your info is more accurate the way the production is going on these. July delivery is missing 1/2 the season. Glad I bought myself a new Maserati the other day.....

Yes, in the system she had a build date of June 20th, but when she tried to get more accurate info she was told 'sometime at the end of June'
Glad for you to have the new Grandturismo S, these cars have so much sex appeal and probably the most soul stirring driving experience combining all the right moves and sounds with a luxury cachet !

does shipping mean it HAS shipped or it has been cleared for shipping and you must wait until a transport vehicle is ready to go to your area. I heard the transport needs to carry a minimum of 4 cars and if your area doesn't have that many deliveries it waits until you do. Can anyone confirm this??

shipping status for a week!! I am in friggin final inspection for a week. guess I wont have it by memorial day weekend. If you would have told me that when I ordered the car way back in Nov that I wouldn't have it by JUNE I would never have believed it!!

No stripes or carbon here. I didn't want to chance making my order any later, so skipped the carbon. I'll add those myself.

I've arranged through my dealership to fly to Detroit this Thursday to pick my car up in person, and I'll drive it back to Houston. 1,300 miles should be a suitable break-in period. That was the only way I could guarantee the car arrived before Hot Rod Power Tour, which is June 1-9. The Viper will be doing the long haul on that tour, too. Along with a friend who has his 2013 LE already.
