Exactly. Try not to gas it and "pass" someone either. Spend 20 minutes in the car just driving it normally to get used to it. An accident in a Viper will most likely happen 5-10 minutes after you get behind the wheel. Back the car into parking spaces (watch those valet's), don't go through car washes, wait until the tires are warm before you get on it, watch them curbs, watch the speedo!!!, dont roast the tires unless you want your p's paying for a new set, fill up the tank with high octane, ask questions!! The place where you are renting the car from should give you the do's and don'ts, just ask. Finally show off the car and pretend it's yours!! Have Fun!!

This is one car that you do not want to "Drive it like you stole it", at least not at first. Just like the other posts said, take it easy at first, make sure you are in an absolutely straight line before you try to get on it, and then only do it in steps or stages (already rolling in third then hit it). This car takes a lot of getting used to, go slow but steady with it, and after a few hours of practice, you should start to get the idea as to how powerful it really is. The steering is really different too, it seems that when going slow, you have to turn the wheel a lot to turn a corner. Once up to speed, a very slight touch is all you need to corner, you turn the wheel to the left at speed, and before you know it, you are going left very rapidly. Respect it, and have fun with it, it is an awesome piece of machinery!

Take it slow and easy until you get the feel of the pedal locations and the feel of the clutch and brake - you don't want to pull up to a light behind someone and miss the brake. Accelerate slowly around corners, and resist showing off and punching it passing people - with a Viper you don't HAVE to
prove it ! Watch what you are doing, there will be a lot of people watching you. Be careful in neighborhoods - it will NOT want to do 25! Above all, relax and ENJOY the drive.
You will not want to get out !
