I agree with all of you guys.
I'm surprised how some dealers are ready to sell from showroom while customers who paid long back are still waiting on status update!!
I think SRT, and not Dodge :), need to act fast otherwise their early promises were way too soon.

I stopped looking at other options awhile ago and just gave into waiting - but as others are stating, no news from dodge is growing old and is unacceptable.

The fact people stroll into a dealership and can buy LE's while people who ordered (even LE's!!!!) and put cash down in Nov wait with no status updates, is beyond preposterous. If I treated customers like that, they'd revolt.
I just hope I'll not fall back in that looking at other options bracket. #GIVEUSSOMEUPDATES

I gave my dealer to the end of this week to either guarantee me that mine will be a MY 14 (willing to wait at this point) or return ALL my deposit. I will update as things progress.

I agree with others that it's not right that those that have had deposits down go to the end of the line, and no updates from SRT does have me concerned.

What grinds my gears is , we were told Feb/March delivery for custom orders originally.

It is now the end if April and they haven't started custom orders. so, earliest we could expect anything is June now for delivery of custom orders, assuming everything goes right.

Seeing how things have been going, honestly I wouldn't be shocked if it was July we saw them at door steps. Which leaves virtually no time left in the year to drive it before winter. I really have no interest in dropping $100k for the car to be driven for 3 months, mothballed, and waiting for next March to roll around. SRT needs to get on the ball here and do and say something.

I am one day away from pulling the trigger on a 2014 custom order. However after reading all of the post regarding delivery I am somewhat apprehensive. :dunno:

I'm hopeful out of respect for all you guys waiting on 2013 custom orders, they will at least make them 2014's.

I definitely agree with all of you guys who ordered. Not one dealer should have received an unsold car until all customer orders were filled.

Just going to throw my hat into the ring and say I totally agree with everyone else. Those that preordered should have received priority over dealers that are getting them at random. And the lack of communication only makes it worse. I don't have an order in, but if I did the wait wouldn't bother me as much as the other dealers getting them to sell above sticker.

Saw a very similar issue over on Cummins forum with the 2013 Ram 2500 and 3500 over the last few months. Tons of people still waiting on their 2013 3500s. Many getting deposits back and getting 2012s , 2500s or other brands.

I mean, I totally get business wise what is going on. Building 150 LE, 100 red LE and 50 dealer demos allows them to get the process down. They obviously aren't going to presell every one of those as they aren't custom.

But, selfish ViperSmith, wanted his car way back in March so he could be enjoying it now.

I fully get there maybe parts issues, but it is incombant on SRT to relay that to people who put their hard earned money down and are sitting here twiddling their thumbs what the delay is, while people can walk onto a dealer lot and buy one today.

If I just knew when I'd be expecting it, I'd be happy. The "no one has a f'n clue" is a bit troublesome to say the least. Throw us a bone. My first domestic automobile purchase and it is a bit disconcerting.

I don't care about the 13/14 MY designation, I just want the car!

When you're busy fighting the allegators it's hard to remember to keep the folks waiting for the swamp to be drained up to date. No excuse, but I do have a lot of empathy. :(

The initial production sequence was announced and is being followed. The dates slipped due to quality and supply issues.

The actions by individual dealers which resulted in selling the "display" models is not under Chrysler control. The car dealers in the US went all the way to the supreme court which decided as independent business people, the dealers could do what they wanted to a very large degree. If you don't like what a dealer did, make sure all your friends and Chrysler know about it. Be sure to be specific. Dealer add on $$$$ is also allowed by law. Again make sure all your friends and Chrysler know about it.

You don't want to wait, it's your money, do as you chose, but don't expect that any dealer cares about you walking out. Chrysler cares but the dealer doesn't. Buy from dealers that have been reputable over the long time. The real problem IMO, isn't buying, it's having locally available reliable and dependable service organization.

IMO, all in all, the usual start up problems and the usual dealer behavior. :2tu:

Yeah and caveat emptor

Do your homework as a consumer. Check a dealers reputation on forums BBB rating, client testimonials. U only get ONE reputation.

I had on order on a Fisker. The company started to look very shaky and the key guy didn't see the need to communicate
I canceled my order. Henrik Fisker got booted and his company is bankrupt. I am not drawing any parallels here other than to observe the treatment of customers as Mushrooms is not a healthy business proposition. I understand Ralph has a Twitter account. Time to start lighting that up?
