Any yellow Gen 1\'s for sale?

I'm just a tire kicker for now, but if I could find the right deal, could be a legit buyer very soon. Does anyone know of any yellow Gen 1's for sale? My only requirements are mileage needs to be under 60k, and no salvage title. I'm looking to spend in the low-mid 30's.

Sidepipe envy? The 2nd one is supposed to be a coupe. You can’t just post this without the story. It’s like the ******* pics with no captions. ;)

Sidepipe envy is a pretty good guess :) I have been saying for a couple months now that I was going to buy a new car in 2007. I've had plenty of ideas including a Prowler, NSX, Supra, Infiniti G35 Coupe, etc, but for any of those cars you're looking in the $30k+ range and for that money, I just don't think anything beats a Viper! I then thought about a GTS, but I've had a convertible since I was 18 and really don't want to give that option up. I want to try another color just to have something new. I've always loved the bumblebee GTS's, and when I saw a pic of a custom bumblebee Gen 1 w/the sidepipes, it looked awesome!

My only worry is I'm not sure how I'll like the tan interior with a y/b exterior paintjob. Finding one with a black interior would be even better, but I doubt I could find a Gen 2 yellow RT/10 in my price range

I have always liked Gen 1 tan, it looks great with yellow. IMO. Take that guys money and shop as a cash buyer during the winter. If you are willing to look out of state you should be able to steal one while there is snow on the ground.

Definitly willing to go out of state. But would like to stay within driving distance of GA (>500 miles). If a good deal is farther away, I'll just have to spend the extra $$ to have the car shipped to me. I wont sell mine until a deal for a new one is done. My luck I'd sell the McViper and values would triple overnight before I bought a new one

Chad
Roanoke Motors has a 95 yellow with I think it has 27,000 miles on it. I don't know anything about the car. I saw it about a month ago when I picked up my new vert. Call John Gassman or Denny Rocke and see what they have to say. They are great people to work with.
Their phone number is 1-800-541-6858
Good Luck
Rob
P.S. They also had a couple new 05 yellow verts you know they have sidepipes too.

No black interior available in the true Gen I cars, meaning pre 1996. It was either tan or grey. They both are ugly as anything too. But it is pretty easy and cheap to do a nice interior swap!

Agreed both Grey and Tan are ugly on a YELLOW car. Black is a MUST in a Yellow car. Specially with black stripes! Honestly the fact that you have a buyer for your car is 95% the battle. That is ALWAYS the toughest part. You have it made, you can just scower every website/ magazine until you find the best possible deal w/ cash...I think you could STEAL a GEN 1 especially if it is stock, then spend an extra 1 or 2k and put the black interior in.....Done deal and you have your GEN 1 for low 30's out the door. Good luck! Just make sure the head gaskets have been done! :headbang:

Chad,

Replacing the Mc..... Are you sure?
The Red-yellow color combination is more rare then yellow.....

Thats one hold up I have. I really love the McViper and the rarity, especially when you consider most people have swapped/chromed the yellow wheels. If I could steal a Gen 1, I'd keep both. I'm not in a big hurry, so time is on my side.

I converted the interior to black in my old 94 for under $500.

Re: Any yellow Gen 1\'s for sale?

If you plan on changing the interior out to black, might want to consider a Yellow Grey interior. The grey interior cars have black carpet on the floor and black fuzzy door carpet, instead of brown. This will save an additional $600 or $700 in buying carpets.

Cost for my interior swap was about $1200. I had the fuzzy door carpet part covered in leather and eventually had the center console covered in leather, since these pics were taken.

I'd love a blue/white RT, but really want to stay away from having to shell out for an entire paint job and even if I did find an original b/w RT for sale, I'm sure it'd be too much $$

The one near you has a salvage title and wasnt even originally yellow. I'm gonna steer clear of it. Thanks for the offer though!
